What made me write this post is for me to share the discussion that we had at Pak Li restaurant in Section 7, Shah Alam. Because of the detail of that discussion is so important, it must be stated here, so that all will be able to know what was actually discussed.
I do not know what exactly caused the discussion in the first place but what I can say that it was about the Malays, again. Over there the initial discussion about the Nazi way of how they manage their country, where at the beginning, their leader Hitler, had the ambition of liberating German from the grasp of the Allied Powers, later when he became powerful, merked by the conquest of France, he became dictator. Not to forget, the Holocaust was also covered.
But those are not the main concern of this post. Where in this post I wish to make some suggestions of how the Malays race can be changed, to a progressive one. Here are the points:
1. That Malays in fact control the politics, where such control normally cannot last when money is not in their hands. They are many traits of the Malays that causes them not being able to have more money, this was described by our former premeir, Mahathir, that the Malays at most only work to an extent where it is enough for them to live their daily lives. If I am not mistaken, it was at one of Mahathir’s post concerning the type of voters or close to the post, where he describe, the Malays have the attitude, when everything is enough for them, then they will give it up, he said that this is prevalent in the rural areas, which majority of the Malays come from. He stated that, the BN only need to fulfill these necessities for them to continously secure the vote of the Malay people in the election.
2. The previous point bring us to this conclusion, that Malays are not the type for business, because they lack the gut to take risk, they lack the will to work hard safe only those for their basic necessities, they are to much envious about other Malays especially in business and that they are not supportive of their own race in business because of the majority Malays business attitude. These traits is so entrenched in the Malay society and that these are the attitudes that make them to be the least to benefit in money making business. That is why the Malay associations in business is often a failure and that their association more focused on protecting them not in economically beneficial such as the ’secret societies’ and those of defending their self-defeating culture.
3. The third point is, the Malays have a great misconception of what they should be proud of. One attribute to this point is the Malay word taken to be English word, ‘amok’, meaning a person losing control of their mind and harming other people. The Malays themselves admit that other races cannot challenge them or else they will run amok. Interestingly, most Malays proud of this, which to me is wrong. This is because, when other races are hardworking in comparison with the Malays at large, when these others races label them of being slothful or putting their effort that at the end contributes to their own destruction, they become incited and may run amok for that label and mockery. Isn’t that they are entitled for all those mockery, is it not heir own actions and traits that they are so defending, have made it beyond entitlement for them to be mocked in such way. Ironically they say if anyone dare to make such remarks, they will run amok and implicate others, where actually they are implicating themselves.
4. Point number four, that Malays are just not into striving to be called the knowledgeable race in this country. This is because, they are just not interested in reading. This is true when a survey was conducted, I don’t remenber who made it, by I came across that report in the tele when I was in secondary school, they say Malays if according to their highest population, is actually the lowest in literacy and the societal promotion of reading, this is not just in the Kampongs but also in the cities, where they young generations are, they are just not into bringing themselves into the next level of their life, they just like to remain there, as I stated before, ‘it’s enough for them’.
5. That Malays implement Islam in the wrong way. This is seen through their pessimism towards business and money making. Islam said ‘work as if you will live for another 1000 years and (good deeds – ibadah: p/s I don’t know the right English word here) and that 9/10 of gifts of God are coming from business. Their traits are totally in contravention with this promotion and they say moderate is enough, but they never even realize that the moderate stance promoted by Islam is just as guidelines along you pushing for the worldly and eternal goals. The way islamic law implemented in this country, where only sanctions emphasized unreasonably. Look at how Islam come into the Arabs, step by step, not one at a go. Look at how islam at the early stages of its implementation, that the Prophet PBUH stresses on promoting the goodness rather than the consequence of not following Islam. This is turn caused people to say no to Islam, even the Malays. Please refer to this video, to have a better understanding over one of the example:
